With so many people, everywhere, raving about its versatile powers, we were becoming increasingly curious and had to test-drive Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lift and Firm Makeup SPF 15.
The superhero formula gives a mini face-lift (that’s certainly visible) while providing long-wearing true-color coverage and radiance. Skin appears more youthful – visibly more cushioned, firmer and uplifted.
The moisturizing, age-defying cream foundation is powered by Ceramide Plumping Technology and infused with Ceramide Triple Complex. This power duo works to firm, redensify, strengthen and retexturize skin’s appearance, and holds essential moisture within the skin.
The formula also features Mica alumina, a super-reflective, micro-fine light diffuser that helps blur every uneven spot, imperfection and surface line away with microspheres, while giving skin a soft-focus with a subtle luminous glow.
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lift and Firm Makeup SPF 15 currently comes in an impressive 17 flexible shades – from Vanilla Shell to Cocoa – so it can fit the bill for most skin tones.
To prevent further skin damage, vitamins A, C, and E and broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15 sunscreen protection offer added protection (so #BONUS).
We only wish the sun protection was slightly higher (but then again, nothing can be totally perfect).
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lift and Firm Makeup SPF 15 glides onto skin like a deliciously indulgent cream and blends seamlessly; we really like that it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky when you put it on your face, nor when it sets, unlike many foundations that you can feel sitting on your skin. It does an amazing job of evening out imperfections and leaves a nice dewy finish, without getting greasy, even after hours of wear. It also feels very comfortable and moisturizing on the skin.
We’ve tried applying it onto skin both using a foundation brush and with our fingers, but prefer the finish we get with a brush.
The blendable and buildable coverage conceals imperfections; skin is more even and looks illuminated.
Verdict: A+, highly recommend.
