One month with bkr glass water bottle
It’s no secret that drinking a lot of water is the absolute foundation for a radiant, healthy-looking complexion and general wellbeing. Yet somehow we’re always coming up short on our recommended daily intake. Until now.
In an effort to stick to our resolution to drink more water, we researched a variety of high-quality water bottles and stumbled on bkr (pronounced: bee-ker).
A cult favorite among A-list celebrities the world over, we’d seen the simple and stylish bkr glass water bottles all over the media but we were skeptical about the practicality of a glass water bottle.
We heard a lot about the benefits of drinking water from glass bottles though so we thought we’d give bkr a try!
The bkr water bottles come in 3 sizes – Teeny 8OZ (250ml), Little 16 OZ (500ml) and Big 32 OZ (1L), so you can pick the size that suits you most, depending on how big of a water sipper you are.
We opted for the 32OZ and 16Oz. We found the 16OZ size, in particular, to be handy for on the go. We’ve been toting ours just about everywhere—in meetings, subway rides, yoga classes.
Each of us ordered a different color so we never get mixed up. We picked the Holiday (sheer vacation blue), Spiked Tutu (with three-dimensional soft spikes in millennial pink), Jet (opaque black), and Gramercy (sheer lush garden green).

We really love how water tastes – just clean and pure – when drinking out of the bkr water bottle.
Made of pure glass, the bkr bottle doesn’t affect the taste of water so you don’t get that weird plastic taste or the metal aftertaste from the stainless steel bottles.
The bkr water bottle is BPA-free and phthalate-free so there is no risk of chemical leaching into the water. Plus, glass water bottles are so much better for the environment.
bkr bottles are durable and easy to tote around.
The sturdy silicone sleeve is made of BPA free silicone and cushions any shock, protecting the glass bottle from breakage. The texture of the silicone is soft and a pleasure to hold, while providing just enough grip (thus less likely to drop and break).
The bkr signature mouth is just wide enough to make it easy to drink from but small enough so we don’t spill water everywhere. But the small opening also means we cannot flavor our water with fruit slices.
With its slanted handle on the cap, it’s easy to carry around. Ever since we got our bkr water bottles, we certainly started drinking more water regularly.
Sure, you don’t have to have a fancy water bottle to up your water intake, but it does make drinking water throughout the day a whole lot more fun. It must be the way these adorable bottles catch our eye every time we look at them, reminding us to drink and constantly refilling it because it’s just so fancy to drink from it.

How to care for your bkr water bottle?
We love the practical, minimal design and how easy it is to keep clean. The bottle can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher (on the top rack). The sleeve is dishwasher safe and does not need to be removed, but you can take off the sleeve (though it can be a bit tricky to slip on and off) for a deep cleaning every now and then.
We mainly drink water from our bottles so a quick rinse is enough to keep the bottle clean. It is recommended to use soapy water and the bkr bottle brush if you are drinking more than plain water.
Make sure to store the bottle with the cap off. Do not freeze or microwave.

Question: Can the bkr water bottle hold boiled water?
Answer: No, bkr isn’t intended for boiling hot liquid (or for freezing). The glass is not tempered so you’ll want to avoid rapid temperature changes which could cause your bkr to crack.

Answer: No, the bkr water bottle is not insulated, but the sleeve does help keep your water cold for a longer period than disposable bottles.
